Block Your IP in Google Analytics

Analytics will track your own views of website If you have not blocked your regular Internet using IP. You are unable to count how many views are coming from outside through analytics. If you check this reports is does not make sense

Why to Block own IP:

It is any easy way to find out original view count for your website. Search result shows perfect report for your website through analytics.

Steps to block IP from Analytics Track:

  • Get IP Address by typing “what’s my IP address” on Google, You will get IP Address then just copy it
  • Now log on to analytics and open respected website/account data which you want to block IP
  • Click on admin and next go through all filters (show below screen shot)

  • Click on Add filter

  • Enter any name as Title (Eg:Blocking my IP)
  • Leave the Predefined Filter checked option
  • Leave first drop-down section and go to second dropdown section
  • Select “traffic from the IP addresses” from the drop down menus and leave the third dropdown also

  • Now you need place the IP address in the appeared box

  • Select the available profile and click Add and save it

Now your IP address will not count as view when you open website. Like this you can block any IP address by creating new filter and follow same procedure or steps
